The Word Us Means More Then One.

Notice the word  Us in these verses.

26Then God said, "Let us make man in our image, after our likeness.
 And let them have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the heavens and over the livestock and over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth."

 27So God created man in his own image,
   in the image of God he created him;
    male and female he created them.

Genesis 11:7-8

7Come, let us go down and there confuse their language, so that they may not understand one another’s speech."

 8So the LORD dispersed them from there over the face of all the earth, and they left off building the city.  

John 1:1-18

 1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 

2He was in the beginning with God. 

3 All things were made through him, and without him was not any thing made that was made. 

4 In him was life, and the life was the light of men. 

5 The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.

 6There was a man sent from God, whose name was John. 

7He came as a witness, to bear witness about the light, that all might believe through him.

 8 He was not the light, but came to bear witness about the light.

 9 The true light, which enlightens everyone, was coming into the world. 

10He was in the world, and the world was made through him, yet the world did not know him. 

11He came to his own, and his own people did not receive him. 

12But to all who did receive him, who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God, 
13who were born, not of blood nor of the will of the flesh nor of the will of man, but of God.

 14And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we have seen his glory, glory as of the only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth. 

15 John bore witness about him, and cried out, "This was he of whom I said, 'He who comes after me ranks before me, because he was before me.'") 

16And from his fullness we have all received, grace upon grace. 

17For the law was given through Moses; grace and truth came through Jesus Christ. 

18 No one has ever seen God; the only God, who is at the Father’s side, he has made him known.

Behold, the Lamb of God

 29The next day he saw Jesus coming toward him, and said, "Behold, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world! 

30This is he of whom I said, 'After me comes a man who ranks before me, because he was before me.' 

31I myself did not know him, but for this purpose I came baptizing with water, that he might be revealed to Israel." 

32And John bore witness: "I saw the Spirit descend from heaven like a dove, and it remained on him. 

33I myself did not know him, but he who sent me to baptize with water said to me, 'He on whom you see the Spirit descend and remain, this is he who baptizes with the Holy Spirit.' 

34And I have seen and have borne witness that this is the Son of God."

Jesus Calls the First Disciples

 35The next day again John was standing with two of his disciples,

 36and he looked at Jesus as he walked by and said, "Behold, the Lamb of God!"

 37The two disciples heard him say this, and they followed Jesus. 

38Jesus turned and saw them following and said to them,  "What are you seeking?" And they said to him, "Rabbi" (which means Teacher), "where are you staying?"

 39He said to them, "Come and you will see." So they came and saw where he was staying, and they stayed with him that day, for it was about the tenth hour.

40 One of the two who heard John speak and followed Jesus was Andrew, Simon Peter’s brother. 

41He first found his own brother Simon and said to him, "We have found the Messiah" (which means Christ). 

42He brought him to Jesus. Jesus looked at him and said, "So you are Simon the son of John? 
You shall be called Cephas" (which means) Peter,

Vision of the Son of Man

 9I, John, your brother and partner in the tribulation and the kingdom and the patient endurance that are in Jesus, was on the island called Patmos on account of the word of God and the testimony of Jesus. 

10 I was in the Spirit on the Lord’s day, and I heard behind me a loud voice like a trumpet 

11saying,  "Write what you see in a book and send it to the seven churches, to Ephesus and to Smyrna and to Pergamum and to Thyatira and to Sardis and to Philadelphia and to Laodicea."

 12Then I turned to see the voice that was speaking to me, and on turning I saw seven golden lampstands, 

13and in the midst of the lampstands one like a son of man, clothed with a long robe and with a golden sash around his chest. 

14 The hairs of his head were white, like white wool, like snow.His eyes were like a flame of fire, 

15 his feet were like burnished bronze, refined in a furnace, and his voice was like the roar of many waters. 

16 In his right hand he held seven stars, from his mouth came a sharp two-edged sword, and  his face was like the sun shining in full strength.

 17 When I saw him, I fell at his feet as though dead. But he laid his right hand on me,saying, "Fear not, I am the first and the last, 

18and the living one. I died, and behold I am alive forevermore, and I have the keys of Death and Hades. 

19 Write therefore the things that you have seen, those that are and those that are to take place after this. 

20As for the mystery of the seven stars that you saw in my right hand, and the seven golden lampstands, the seven stars are the angels of the seven churches, and the seven 

Revelation 5

The Scroll and the Lamb

 1Then I saw in the right hand of him who was seated on the throne a scroll written within and on the back, sealed with seven seals. 

2And I saw a strong angel proclaiming with a loud voice, "Who is worthy to open the scroll and break its seals?" 

3And no one in heaven or on earth or under the earth was able to open the scroll or to look into it, 
4and I began to weep loudly because no one was found worthy to open the scroll or to look into it. 

5And one of the elders said to me, "Weep no more; behold, the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, has conquered, so that he can open the scroll and its seven seals."

 6And between the throne and the four living creatures and among the elders I saw a Lamb standing, as though it had been slain, with seven horns and with seven eyes, which are(I) the seven spirits of God sent out into all the earth. 

7And he went and took the scroll from the right hand of him who was seated on the throne. 

8And when he had taken the scroll, the four living creatures and the twenty-four elders(J) fell down before the Lamb, each holding a harp, and golden bowls full of incense, which are the prayers of the saints. 

9And they sang a new song, saying,

   "Worthy are you to take the scroll
   and to open its seals,
for you were slain, and by your blood you ransomed people for God
   from every tribe and language and people and nation,

10and you have made them a kingdom and priests to our God,
   and they shall reign on the earth."

 11Then I looked, and I heard around the throne and the living creatures and the elders the voice of many angels, numbering myriads of myriads and thousands of thousands, 

12saying with a loud voice, "Worthy is the Lamb who was slain, to receive power and wealth and wisdom and might and honor and glory and blessing!" 

13And I heard every creature in heaven and on earth and under the earth and in the sea, and all that is in them, saying, "To him who sits on the throne and to the Lamb be blessing and honor and glory and might forever and ever!" 

14And the four living creatures said, "Amen!" and the elders fell down and worshiped.

1 John 1
The Word of Life

 1 That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we looked upon and have touched with our hands, concerning the word of life— 

2 the life was made manifest, and we have seen it, and testify to it and proclaim to you the eternal life, which was with the Father and was made manifest to us— 

3 that which we have seen and heard we proclaim also to you, so that you too may have fellowship with us; and indeed our fellowship is with the Father and with his Son Jesus Christ. 4And we are writing these things so that our joy may be complete.

1 John 5

Overcoming the World

 1 Everyone who believes that Jesus is the Christ has been born of God, and everyone who loves the Father loves whoever has been born of him. 

2 By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God and obey his commandments. 

3For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments. And his commandments are not burdensome. 

4For everyone who has been born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world— our faith. 

5Who is it that overcomes the world except the one who believes that Jesus is the Son of God?
Testimony Concerning the Son of God

 6This is he who came by water and blood—Jesus Christ; not by the water only but by the water and the blood. And the Spirit is the one who testifies, because the Spirit is the truth.

 7For there are three that testify: 

8the Spirit and the water and the blood; and these three agree. 

9 If we receive the testimony of men, the testimony of God is greater, for this is the testimony of God that he has borne concerning his Son. 

10Whoever believes in the Son of God has the testimony in himself. Whoever does not believe God has made him a liar, because he has not believed in the testimony that God has borne concerning his Son. 

11And this is the testimony, that God gave us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. 

12 Whoever has the Son has life; whoever does not have the Son of God does not have life.

John 3:16

For God So Loved the World

 16"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.

Lets look at it once more

For God (The Father) so loved the world, that He gave His only Son (Only Begotten Son)
that whoever believes in Him (His Only Begotten Son) should not perish but have eternal life.

I hope that you can see two Deities in this one verse of John 3:16

That is why in Genesis it says Us, since angels cannot create

For they are a creation of Elohim

Same as people are a creation of Elohim.

Only angels look a bit different but still they are a creation of God
The Creator Elohim =Father ,Son ,Holy Spirit.

To simply even more.
Look at the Hebrew word Seraphim when translated it means the burning ones
Meaning more then one,
They are angels
Since seraph is singular.
Seraphim is plural.
Same as El is singular
Elohim is plural.

Matthew 22:41-46

41 Now while the Pharisees were gathered together, Jesus asked them a question, 

42saying, "What do you think about the Christ? Whose son is he?" They said to him, "The son of David." 

43He said to them, "How is it then that David, in the Spirit, calls him Lord, saying,
 
44 "'The Lord said to my Lord,Sit at my right hand,
   until I put your enemies under your feet'?
 
45If then David calls him Lord, how is he his son?" 

46 And no one was able to answer him a word, nor from that day did anyone dare to ask him any more questions.

A Psalm of David.

 1(A) The LORD says to my Lord:
   (B) "Sit at my right hand,
(C) until I make your enemies your(D) footstool."
 2The LORD sends forth(E) from Zion
   (F) your mighty scepter.
   (G) Rule in the midst of your enemies!
3(H) Your people will(I) offer themselves freely
   on the day of your(J) power,[a]
   in(K) holy garments;[b]
from the womb of the morning,
   the dew of your youth will be yours.[c]

   and will(N) not change his mind,

   (W) filling them with corpses;

   therefore he will lift up his head.


Psalm 2
The Reign of the LORD’s Anointed
 1(A) Why do(B) the nations rage[a]
   and the peoples plot in vain?
2The kings of the earth set themselves,
   and the rulers take counsel together,
   against the LORD and against his(C) Anointed, saying,
3"Let us(D) burst their bonds apart
   and cast away their cords from us."
 4He who(E) sits in the heavens(F) laughs;
   the Lord holds them in derision.
5Then he will speak to them in his(G) wrath,
   and terrify them in his fury, saying,
6"As for me, I have(H) set my King
   on(I) Zion, my(J) holy hill."

 7I will tell of the decree:The LORD said to me,(K) "You are my Son;
   today I have begotten you.
8Ask of me, and I will make the nations your heritage,
   and(L) the ends of the earth your possession.
9You shall(M) break[b] them with(N) a rod of iron
   and dash them in pieces like(O) a potter’s vessel."

 10Now therefore, O kings, be wise;
   be warned, O rulers of the earth.
11(P) Serve the LORD with(Q) fear,
   and(R) rejoice with trembling.
12(S) Kiss(T) the Son,
   lest he be angry, and you perish in the way,
   for his(U) wrath is quickly kindled.
(V) Blessed are all who take refuge in him.

Please notice two Lords in these Issaih verses of old testament

issaiah 44:6

6Thus says the LORD, the King of Israel

   and his Redeemer, the LORD of hosts:

 "I am the first and I am the last;
   besides me there is no god.

Lord King of israel is Only Begotten Son
Lord of Hosts is Heavenly Father who sent Him in John 3:16
He redeemed Him by ressurecting him
still some might say that it is grammar mistake.

The Ancient of Days Reigns
 9"As I looked,

   (M) thrones were placed,
   and the(N) Ancient of Days took his seat;
(O) his clothing was white as snow,
   and(P) the hair of his head like pure wool;
his throne was fiery flames;
   (Q) its wheels were burning fire.
10(R) A stream of fire issued
   and came out from before him;
(S) a thousand thousands(T) served him,
   (U) and ten thousand times ten thousand(V) stood before him;
the(W) court sat in judgment,
   and the books were opened.
 11"I looked then because of the sound of(X) the great words that the horn was speaking. And as I looked,(Y) the beast was killed, and its body destroyed and given over to be burned with fire. 12As for the rest of the beasts,(Z) their dominion was taken away, but their lives were prolonged for a season and a time.

The Son of Man Is Given Dominion
 13"I saw in the night visions,

   and(AA) behold, with the clouds of heaven
   there came one like a son of man,
and he came to the(AB) Ancient of Days
   and was presented before him.
14(AC) And to him was given dominion
   and glory and a kingdom,
that all(AD) peoples, nations, and languages
   should serve him;
(AE) his dominion is an everlasting dominion,
   which shall not pass away,
and his kingdom one
   that shall not be destroyed.
Daniel’s Vision Interpreted
 
15"As for me, Daniel, my spirit within me[b] was anxious, and(AF) the visions of my head alarmed me. 
16I approached one of those who stood there and asked him the truth concerning all this. So he told me and made known to me the interpretation of the things. 

17(AG) 'These four great beasts are four kings who shall arise out of the earth. 

18But(AH) the saints of the Most High shall receive the kingdom and possess the kingdom forever, forever and ever.'
 19"Then I desired to know the truth about(AI) the fourth beast, which was different from all the rest, exceedingly terrifying, with its teeth of iron and claws of bronze, and which devoured and broke in pieces and stamped what was left with its feet, 
20(AJ) and about the ten horns that were on its head, and the other horn that came up and before which three of them fell, the horn that had eyes and a mouth that spoke great things, and that seemed greater than its companions. 

21As I looked, this horn(AK) made war with the saints and prevailed over them,

 22until the(AL) Ancient of Days came, and(AM) judgment was given for the saints of the Most High, and the time came when the saints possessed the kingdom.

 23"Thus he said: 'As for(AN) the fourth beast,

   there shall be a fourth kingdom on earth,
   which shall be different from all the kingdoms,
and it shall devour the whole earth,
   and trample it down, and break it to pieces.
24As for the ten horns,out of this kingdom ten kings shall arise,
   and another shall arise after them;
he shall be different from the former ones,
   and shall put down three kings.
25(AO) He shall speak words against the Most High,
   and shall wear out the saints of the Most High,
   and shall think to(AP) change the times and the law;
and they shall be given into his hand
   for(AQ) a time, times, and half a time.
26(AR) But the court shall sit in judgment,
   and(AS) his dominion shall be taken away,
   to be consumed and destroyed(AT) to the end.
27(AU) And the kingdom and the dominion
   and the greatness of the kingdoms under the whole heaven
   shall be given to the people of(AV) the saints of the Most High;
their kingdom shall be an everlasting kingdom,
   and all dominions shall serve and obey them.'[c]

 28"Here is the end of the matter.(AW) As for me, Daniel, my(AX) thoughts greatly alarmed me,(AY) and my color changed, but(AZ) I kept the matter in my heart."

Psalm 59:8 

 8But you, O LORD,(A) laugh at them;
   you hold all the nations in derision.

Psalm 14

The Fool Says, There Is No God
To the choirmaster. Of David.
 1(A) The(B) fool says in his heart,(C) "There is no God."
   They are(D) corrupt, they do abominable deeds,
   (E) there is none who does good.
 2The LORD(F) looks down from heaven on the children of man,
   to see if there are any who understand,[a]
   who(G) seek after God.

 3They have all turned aside; together they have become(H) corrupt;
   there is none who does good,
   not even one.

 4Have they no(I) knowledge, all the evildoers
   who(J) eat up my people as they eat bread
   and(K) do not call upon the LORD?

 5There they are in great terror,
   for God is with(L) the generation of the righteous.
6You would shame the plans of the poor,
   but[b] the LORD is his(M) refuge.

 7Oh, that salvation for Israel would come out of Zion!
   When the LORD(N) restores the fortunes of his people,
   let Jacob rejoice, let Israel be glad.

Psalm 2
 1 Why do the nations conspire[a] 
   and the peoples plot in vain?

   and the rulers gather together 
against the LORD 
   and against his Anointed One.[b] 
3 “Let us break their chains,” they say, 
   “and throw off their fetters.”

Genesis 15
God’s Covenant With Abram
 1 After this, the word of the LORD came to Abram in a vision: 
   “Do not be afraid, Abram. 
   I am your shield,[a] 
   your very great reward.[b]” 

 2 But Abram said, “O Sovereign LORD, what can you give me since I remain childless and the one who will inherit[c] my estate is Eliezer of Damascus?” 3 And Abram said, “You have given me no children; so a servant in my household will be my heir.” 

 4 Then the word of the LORD came to him: “This man will not be your heir, but a son coming from your own body will be your heir.” 5 He took him outside and said, “Look up at the heavens and count the stars—if indeed you can count them.” Then he said to him, “So shall your offspring be.” 

 6 Abram believed the LORD, and he credited it to him as righteousness. 

 7 He also said to him, “I am the LORD, who brought you out of Ur of the Chaldeans to give you this land to take possession of it.” 

 8 But Abram said, “O Sovereign LORD, how can I know that I will gain possession of it?” 

 9 So the LORD said to him, “Bring me a heifer, a goat and a ram, each three years old, along with a dove and a young pigeon.” 

 10 Abram brought all these to him, cut them in two and arranged the halves opposite each other; the birds, however, he did not cut in half. 11 Then birds of prey came down on the carcasses, but Abram drove them away. 

 12 As the sun was setting, Abram fell into a deep sleep, and a thick and dreadful darkness came over him. 

13 Then the LORD said to him, “Know for certain that your descendants will be strangers in a country not their own, and they will be enslaved and mistreated four hundred years. 

14 But I will punish the nation they serve as slaves, and afterward they will come out with great possessions. 
15 You, however, will go to your fathers in peace and be buried at a good old age. 

16 In the fourth generation your descendants will come back here, for the sin of the Amorites has not yet reached its full measure.” 

 17 When the sun had set and darkness had fallen, a smoking firepot with a blazing torch appeared and passed between the pieces. 

18 On that day the LORD made a covenant with Abram and said, “To your descendants I give this land, from the river[d] of Egypt to the great river, the Euphrates— 

19 the land of the Kenites, Kenizzites, Kadmonites, 20 Hittites, Perizzites, Rephaites, 21 Amorites, Canaanites, Girgashites and Jebusites.” 

Genesis 18

The Three Visitors

 1 The LORD appeared to Abraham near the great trees of Mamre while he was sitting at the entrance to his tent in the heat of the day. 

2 Abraham looked up and saw three men standing nearby. When he saw them, he hurried from the entrance of his tent to meet them and bowed low to the ground. 

 3 He said, “If I have found favor in your eyes, my lord,[a] do not pass your servant by. 

4 Let a little water be brought, and then you may all wash your feet and rest under this tree. 

5 Let me get you something to eat, so you can be refreshed and then go on your way—now that you have come to your servant.” 

   “Very well,” they answered, “do as you say.” 

 6 So Abraham hurried into the tent to Sarah. “Quick,” he said, “get three seahs[b] of fine flour and knead it and bake some bread.” 

 7 Then he ran to the herd and selected a choice, tender calf and gave it to a servant, who hurried to prepare it. 8 He then brought some curds and milk and the calf that had been prepared, and set these before them. While they ate, he stood near them under a tree. 

 9 “Where is your wife Sarah?” they asked him. 

   “There, in the tent,” he said. 

 10 Then the LORD[c] said, “I will surely return to you about this time next year, and Sarah your wife will have a son.” 

   Now Sarah was listening at the entrance to the tent, which was behind him. 11 Abraham and Sarah were already old and well advanced in years, and Sarah was past the age of childbearing. 12 So Sarah laughed to herself as she thought, “After I am worn out and my master[d] is old, will I now have this pleasure?” 

 13 Then the LORD said to Abraham, “Why did Sarah laugh and say, ‘Will I really have a child, now that I am old?’ 14 Is anything too hard for the LORD? I will return to you at the appointed time next year and Sarah will have a son.” 

 15 Sarah was afraid, so she lied and said, “I did not laugh.” 

   But he said, “Yes, you did laugh.” 

Abraham Pleads for Sodom
 16 When the men got up to leave, they looked down toward Sodom, and Abraham walked along with them to see them on their way. 17 Then the LORD said, “Shall I hide from Abraham what I am about to do? 18 Abraham will surely become a great and powerful nation, and all nations on earth will be blessed through him. 19 For I have chosen him, so that he will direct his children and his household after him to keep the way of the LORD by doing what is right and just, so that the LORD will bring about for Abraham what he has promised him.” 
 20 Then the LORD said, “The outcry against Sodom and Gomorrah is so great and their sin so grievous 21 that I will go down and see if what they have done is as bad as the outcry that has reached me. If not, I will know.” 

 22 The men turned away and went toward Sodom, but Abraham remained standing before the LORD.[e] 23 Then Abraham approached him and said: “Will you sweep away the righteous with the wicked? 24 What if there are fifty righteous people in the city? Will you really sweep it away and not spare[f] the place for the sake of the fifty righteous people in it? 25 Far be it from you to do such a thing—to kill the righteous with the wicked, treating the righteous and the wicked alike. Far be it from you! Will not the Judge[g] of all the earth do right?” 

 26 The LORD said, “If I find fifty righteous people in the city of Sodom, I will spare the whole place for their sake.” 

 27 Then Abraham spoke up again: “Now that I have been so bold as to speak to the Lord, though I am nothing but dust and ashes, 28 what if the number of the righteous is five less than fifty? Will you destroy the whole city because of five people?” 

   “If I find forty-five there,” he said, “I will not destroy it.” 

 29 Once again he spoke to him, “What if only forty are found there?” 

   He said, “For the sake of forty, I will not do it.” 

 30 Then he said, “May the Lord not be angry, but let me speak. What if only thirty can be found there?” 

   He answered, “I will not do it if I find thirty there.” 

 31 Abraham said, “Now that I have been so bold as to speak to the Lord, what if only twenty can be found there?” 

   He said, “For the sake of twenty, I will not destroy it.” 

 32 Then he said, “May the Lord not be angry, but let me speak just once more. What if only ten can be found there?” 

   He answered, “For the sake of ten, I will not destroy it.” 

 33 When the LORD had finished speaking with Abraham, he left, and Abraham returned home. 

Notice that in next chapter of Genesis 19:1 it says two angels arrived, meaning that the third person was God who spoke with Abraham.  

Genesis 19:1

1 The two angels arrived at Sodom in the evening, and Lot was sitting in the gateway of the city. When he saw them, he got up to meet them and bowed down with his face to the ground

Genesis 25:19-34

Jacob and Esau
 19 This is the account of Abraham’s son Isaac. 
   Abraham became the father of Isaac, 20 and Isaac was forty years old when he married Rebekah daughter of Bethuel the Aramean from Paddan Aram[d] and sister of Laban the Aramean. 

 21 Isaac prayed to the LORD on behalf of his wife, because she was barren. The LORD answered his prayer, and his wife Rebekah became pregnant. 22 The babies jostled each other within her, and she said, “Why is this happening to me?” So she went to inquire of the LORD. 

 23 The LORD said to her, 

   “Two nations are in your womb, 
   and two peoples from within you will be separated; 
one people will be stronger than the other, 
   and the older will serve the younger.” 

 24 When the time came for her to give birth, there were twin boys in her womb. 25 The first to come out was red, and his whole body was like a hairy garment; so they named him Esau.[e] 26 After this, his brother came out, with his hand grasping Esau’s heel; so he was named Jacob.[f] Isaac was sixty years old when Rebekah gave birth to them. 

 27 The boys grew up, and Esau became a skillful hunter, a man of the open country, while Jacob was a quiet man, staying among the tents. 28 Isaac, who had a taste for wild game, loved Esau, but Rebekah loved Jacob. 

 29 Once when Jacob was cooking some stew, Esau came in from the open country, famished. 30 He said to Jacob, “Quick, let me have some of that red stew! I’m famished!” (That is why he was also called Edom.[g]) 

 31 Jacob replied, “First sell me your birthright.” 

 32 “Look, I am about to die,” Esau said. “What good is the birthright to me?” 

 33 But Jacob said, “Swear to me first.” So he swore an oath to him, selling his birthright to Jacob. 

 34 Then Jacob gave Esau some bread and some lentil stew. He ate and drank, and then got up and left. 

Genesis 27

Jacob Gets Isaac’s Blessing

 1 When Isaac was old and his eyes were so weak that he could no longer see, he called for Esau his older son and said to him, “My son.” 
   “Here I am,” he answered. 

 2 Isaac said, “I am now an old man and don’t know the day of my death. 3 Now then, get your weapons—your quiver and bow—and go out to the open country to hunt some wild game for me. 4 Prepare me the kind of tasty food I like and bring it to me to eat, so that I may give you my blessing before I die.” 

 5 Now Rebekah was listening as Isaac spoke to his son Esau. When Esau left for the open country to hunt game and bring it back, 6 Rebekah said to her son Jacob, “Look, I overheard your father say to your brother Esau, 7 ‘Bring me some game and prepare me some tasty food to eat, so that I may give you my blessing in the presence of the LORD before I die.’ 8 Now, my son, listen carefully and do what I tell you: 9 Go out to the flock and bring me two choice young goats, so I can prepare some tasty food for your father, just the way he likes it. 10 Then take it to your father to eat, so that he may give you his blessing before he dies.” 

 11 Jacob said to Rebekah his mother, “But my brother Esau is a hairy man, and I’m a man with smooth skin. 12 What if my father touches me? I would appear to be tricking him and would bring down a curse on myself rather than a blessing.” 

 13 His mother said to him, “My son, let the curse fall on me. Just do what I say; go and get them for me.” 

 14 So he went and got them and brought them to his mother, and she prepared some tasty food, just the way his father liked it. 15 Then Rebekah took the best clothes of Esau her older son, which she had in the house, and put them on her younger son Jacob. 16 She also covered his hands and the smooth part of his neck with the goatskins. 17 Then she handed to her son Jacob the tasty food and the bread she had made. 

 18 He went to his father and said, “My father.” 

   “Yes, my son,” he answered. “Who is it?” 

 19 Jacob said to his father, “I am Esau your firstborn. I have done as you told me. Please sit up and eat some of my game so that you may give me your blessing.” 

 20 Isaac asked his son, “How did you find it so quickly, my son?” 

   “The LORD your God gave me success,” he replied. 

 21 Then Isaac said to Jacob, “Come near so I can touch you, my son, to know whether you really are my son Esau or not.” 

 22 Jacob went close to his father Isaac, who touched him and said, “The voice is the voice of Jacob, but the hands are the hands of Esau.” 23 He did not recognize him, for his hands were hairy like those of his brother Esau; so he blessed him. 24 “Are you really my son Esau?” he asked. 

   “I am,” he replied. 

 25 Then he said, “My son, bring me some of your game to eat, so that I may give you my blessing.” 

   Jacob brought it to him and he ate; and he brought some wine and he drank. 26 Then his father Isaac said to him, “Come here, my son, and kiss me.” 

 27 So he went to him and kissed him. When Isaac caught the smell of his clothes, he blessed him and said, 

   “Ah, the smell of my son 
   is like the smell of a field 
   that the LORD has blessed. 
28 May God give you of heaven’s dew 
   and of earth’s richness— 
   an abundance of grain and new wine. 
29 May nations serve you 
   and peoples bow down to you. 
Be lord over your brothers, 
   and may the sons of your mother bow down to you. 
May those who curse you be cursed 
   and those who bless you be blessed.” 

 30 After Isaac finished blessing him and Jacob had scarcely left his father’s presence, his brother Esau came in from hunting. 31 He too prepared some tasty food and brought it to his father. Then he said to him, “My father, sit up and eat some of my game, so that you may give me your blessing.” 

 32 His father Isaac asked him, “Who are you?” 

   “I am your son,” he answered, “your firstborn, Esau.” 

 33 Isaac trembled violently and said, “Who was it, then, that hunted game and brought it to me? I ate it just before you came and I blessed him—and indeed he will be blessed!” 

 34 When Esau heard his father’s words, he burst out with a loud and bitter cry and said to his father, “Bless me—me too, my father!” 

 35 But he said, “Your brother came deceitfully and took your blessing.” 

 36 Esau said, “Isn’t he rightly named Jacob[a]? He has deceived me these two times: He took my birthright, and now he’s taken my blessing!” Then he asked, “Haven’t you reserved any blessing for me?” 

 37 Isaac answered Esau, “I have made him lord over you and have made all his relatives his servants, and I have sustained him with grain and new wine. So what can I possibly do for you, my son?” 

 38 Esau said to his father, “Do you have only one blessing, my father? Bless me too, my father!” Then Esau wept aloud. 

 39 His father Isaac answered him, 

   “Your dwelling will be 
   away from the earth’s richness, 
   away from the dew of heaven above. 
40 You will live by the sword 
   and you will serve your brother. 
But when you grow restless, 
   you will throw his yoke 
   from off your neck.” 

Jacob Flees to Laban
 41 Esau held a grudge against Jacob because of the blessing his father had given him. He said to himself, “The days of mourning for my father are near; then I will kill my brother Jacob.” 
 42 When Rebekah was told what her older son Esau had said, she sent for her younger son Jacob and said to him, “Your brother Esau is consoling himself with the thought of killing you. 43 Now then, my son, do what I say: Flee at once to my brother Laban in Haran. 44 Stay with him for a while until your brother’s fury subsides. 45 When your brother is no longer angry with you and forgets what you did to him, I’ll send word for you to come back from there. Why should I lose both of you in one day?” 

 46 Then Rebekah said to Isaac, “I’m disgusted with living because of these Hittite women. If Jacob takes a wife from among the women of this land, from Hittite women like these, my life will not be worth living.” 

Genesis 32
Jacob Prepares to Meet Esau
 1 Jacob also went on his way, and the angels of God met him. 2 When Jacob saw them, he said, “This is the camp of God!” So he named that place Mahanaim.[a] 
 3 Jacob sent messengers ahead of him to his brother Esau in the land of Seir, the country of Edom. 4 He instructed them: “This is what you are to say to my master Esau: ‘Your servant Jacob says, I have been staying with Laban and have remained there till now. 5 I have cattle and donkeys, sheep and goats, menservants and maidservants. Now I am sending this message to my lord, that I may find favor in your eyes.’” 

 6 When the messengers returned to Jacob, they said, “We went to your brother Esau, and now he is coming to meet you, and four hundred men are with him.” 

 7 In great fear and distress Jacob divided the people who were with him into two groups,[b] and the flocks and herds and camels as well. 8 He thought, “If Esau comes and attacks one group,[c] the group[d] that is left may escape.” 

 9 Then Jacob prayed, “O God of my father Abraham, God of my father Isaac, O LORD, who said to me, ‘Go back to your country and your relatives, and I will make you prosper,’ 10 I am unworthy of all the kindness and faithfulness you have shown your servant. I had only my staff when I crossed this Jordan, but now I have become two groups. 11 Save me, I pray, from the hand of my brother Esau, for I am afraid he will come and attack me, and also the mothers with their children. 12 But you have said, ‘I will surely make you prosper and will make your descendants like the sand of the sea, which cannot be counted.’” 

 13 He spent the night there, and from what he had with him he selected a gift for his brother Esau: 

14 two hundred female goats and twenty male goats, two hundred ewes and twenty rams, 

15 thirty female camels with their young, forty cows and ten bulls, and twenty female donkeys and ten male donkeys. 

16 He put them in the care of his servants, each herd by itself, and said to his servants, “Go ahead of me, and keep some space between the herds.” 

 17 He instructed the one in the lead: “When my brother Esau meets you and asks, ‘To whom do you belong, and where are you going, and who owns all these animals in front of you?’ 

18 then you are to say, ‘They belong to your servant Jacob. They are a gift sent to my lord Esau, and he is coming behind us.’” 

 19 He also instructed the second, the third and all the others who followed the herds: “You are to say the same thing to Esau when you meet him. 
20 And be sure to say, ‘Your servant Jacob is coming behind us.’” For he thought, “I will pacify him with these gifts I am sending on ahead; later, when I see him, perhaps he will receive me.” 
21 So Jacob’s gifts went on ahead of him, but he himself spent the night in the camp. 

Jacob Wrestles With God
 22 That night Jacob got up and took his two wives, his two maidservants and his eleven sons and crossed the ford of the Jabbok. 
23 After he had sent them across the stream, he sent over all his possessions. 
24 So Jacob was left alone, and a man wrestled with him till daybreak.
 25 When the man saw that he could not overpower him, he touched the socket of Jacob’s hip so that his hip was wrenched as he wrestled with the man. 
26 Then the man said, “Let me go, for it is daybreak.” 
   But Jacob replied, “I will not let you go unless you bless me.” 

 27 The man asked him, “What is your name?” 

   “Jacob,” he answered. 

 28 Then the man said, “Your name will no longer be Jacob, but Israel,[e] because you have struggled with God and with men and have overcome.” 

 29 Jacob said, “Please tell me your name.” 

   But he replied, “Why do you ask my name?” Then he blessed him there. 

 30 So Jacob called the place Peniel,[f] saying, “It is because I saw God face to face, and yet my life was spared.” 

 31 The sun rose above him as he passed Peniel,[g] and he was limping because of his hip. 
32 Therefore to this day the Israelites do not eat the tendon attached to the socket of the hip, because the socket of Jacob’s hip was touched near the tendon. 


7 By faith Noah, when warned about things not yet seen, in holy fear built an ark to save his family. By his faith he condemned the world and became heir of the righteousness that comes by faith. 

 8 By faith Abraham, when called to go to a place he would later receive as his inheritance, obeyed and went, even though he did not know where he was going. 
9 By faith he made his home in the promised land like a stranger in a foreign country; he lived in tents, as did Isaac and Jacob, who were heirs with him of the same promise. 
10 For he was looking forward to the city with foundations, whose architect and builder is God. 

 11 By faith Abraham, even though he was past age—and Sarah herself was barren—was enabled to become a father because he[a] considered him faithful who had made the promise. 
12 And so from this one man, and he as good as dead, came descendants as numerous as the stars in the sky and as countless as the sand on the seashore. 

 13 All these people were still living by faith when they died. They did not receive the things promised; they only saw them and welcomed them from a distance. And they admitted that they were aliens and strangers on earth. 
14 People who say such things show that they are looking for a country of their own. 
15 If they had been thinking of the country they had left, they would have had opportunity to return. 
16 Instead, they were longing for a better country—a heavenly one. Therefore God is not ashamed to be called their God, for he has prepared a city for them. 

 17 By faith Abraham, when God tested him, offered Isaac as a sacrifice. He who had received the promises was about to sacrifice his one and only son, 
18 even though God had said to him, “It is through Isaac that your offspring[b] will be reckoned.”[c]
 19 Abraham reasoned that God could raise the dead, and figuratively speaking, he did receive Isaac back from death. 

 20 By faith Isaac blessed Jacob and Esau in regard to their future. 

 21 By faith Jacob, when he was dying, blessed each of Joseph’s sons, and worshiped as he leaned on the top of his staff. 

 22 By faith Joseph, when his end was near, spoke about the exodus of the Israelites from Egypt and gave instructions about his bones. 

 23 By faith Moses’ parents hid him for three months after he was born, because they saw he was no ordinary child, and they were not afraid of the king’s edict. 

 24 By faith Moses, when he had grown up, refused to be known as the son of Pharaoh’s daughter. 25 He chose to be mistreated along with the people of God rather than to enjoy the pleasures of sin for a short time. 26 He regarded disgrace for the sake of Christ as of greater value than the treasures of Egypt, because he was looking ahead to his reward. 27 By faith he left Egypt, not fearing the king’s anger; he persevered because he saw him who is invisible. 28 By faith he kept the Passover and the sprinkling of blood, so that the destroyer of the firstborn would not touch the firstborn of Israel. 

 29 By faith the people passed through the Red Sea[d] as on dry land; but when the Egyptians tried to do so, they were drowned. 

 30 By faith the walls of Jericho fell, after the people had marched around them for seven days. 

 31 By faith the prostitute Rahab, because she welcomed the spies, was not killed with those who were disobedient.[e] 

 32 And what more shall I say? I do not have time to tell about Gideon, Barak, Samson, Jephthah, David, Samuel and the prophets, 
33 who through faith conquered kingdoms, administered justice, and gained what was promised; who shut the mouths of lions, 
34 quenched the fury of the flames, and escaped the edge of the sword; whose weakness was turned to strength; and who became powerful in battle and routed foreign armies.
 35 Women received back their dead, raised to life again. Others were tortured and refused to be released, so that they might gain a better resurrection.
 36 Some faced jeers and flogging, while still others were chained and put in prison.
 37 They were stoned[f]; they were sawed in two; they were put to death by the sword. They went about in sheepskins and goatskins, destitute, persecuted and mistreated—
 38 the world was not worthy of them. They wandered in deserts and mountains, and in caves and holes in the ground. 

 39 These were all commended for their faith, yet none of them received what had been promised. 
40 God had planned something better for us so that only together with us would they be made perfect. 


Those who had faith also had works.

Noah spent money on the ark
Abraham spent money on the travels
and etc.

by faith we must spend money for those who really need our help.
Only if we have the resources of course.

But you say what does that mean?
I mean I thought by faith means don't do nothing but just believe.

well to believe
one must accept and live according to the belief
so if you have faith it must be a living faith accomapnied by works
as faith that accompanied Noah ( He had to spend money to build the big ark) 
Abraham ( He had to spend money on travels)
back then other things were money
yet still it was money that what ever it might have been.
So please don't be stupid and arrogant
since faith without works is dead.

Meaning that if your heart is closed
Then heaven for your heart is closed also.
Is that simple enough to understand.
So humble yourself and open your heart
Help others in need
whatever help it might be.
Financial or physical
time or expertise
or whatever you can offer to others.
