Who Is Sanctified By The Holy Spirit

1 Corinthians 7:14

14 For the unbelieving husband has been sanctified through his wife, and the unbelieving wife has been sanctified through her believing husband. Otherwise your children would be unclean, but as it is, they are holy. 

The sad part about this verse 14,
Is that if you don't have a true living faith believer father or mother (Born of water and of Spirit)
John 3:5

5Jesus answered, "Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God. 

Then you are not sanctified
And  as a child you cannot be saved.

But if your father or mother gets baptized by the Holy Spirit 
and speaks in tongues as a confirmation of baptism.

Then you become sanctified (spiritually insured) until you come to an age 
where you can either dedicate your life to God or not.

Meaning until you become responsible for your own actions.

So if you were a baby or toddler or just a child and you died, then you will be in heaven with God.

But when you grow up, then you become responsible for your own self.

Now if you marry someone who is born of Holy Spirit
Then you become sanctified by that person.
And if you stay together being faithful, then everything is fine.

You will need to ask God to baptize you also
As when you will speak in tongues as confirmation
Then you will become born of Holy Spirit.

Otherwise if you love your husband or wife who has been born of Holy Spirit 
Then you become sanctified before God by him or her.

Speaking in tongues is a gift
Just same as faith is a gift of the Holy Spirit 
Same as prophecy
Healing and etc
They are all gifts of Holy Spirit 

See 1 Corinthians 12:4-11
4Now there are varieties of gifts, but the same Spirit;

 5and there are varieties of service, but the same Lord; 

6and there are varieties of activities, but it is the same God who empowers them all in everyone. 

7 To each is given the manifestation of the Spirit for the common good. 

8For to one is given through the Spirit the utterance of wisdom, and to another the utterance of knowledge according to the same Spirit, 

9to another faith by the same Spirit, to another gifts of healing by the one Spirit, 

10to another the working of miracles, to another prophecy, to another the ability to distinguish between spirits, to another various kinds of tongues, to another the interpretation of tongues. 

11All these are empowered by one and the same Spirit, who apportions to each one individually as he wills.

Yet speaking in unknown language
Was always witnessed in Holy Scripture
As a confirmation of the baptism ofHoly Spirit 
So as long as that one time you spoke
And then asked for a gift of faith
Then you are still born of the Holy Spirit 
And your gift is just faith and not speaking in tongues.

Since speaking in tongues  is a gift
Same as prophecy or faith.
It is just easier to believe and have a gift of faith
Then speaking in tongues as a gift
Since you will use your gift in this life.

As long as you are born of Holy Spirit 
With the confirmation of speaking in tongues

I am sure you will find the gift that is best for you 
And ask the Heavenly Father to give it to you.

And when you ask for it.
Just keep believing that you have it
and you will notice it in your life.


1 Corinthians 12:1-11

Spiritual Gifts

 1Now concerning spiritual gifts, brothers, I do not want you to be uninformed. 

2You know that when you were pagans you were led astray to mute idols, however you were led. 

3Therefore I want you to understand that no one speaking in the Spirit of God ever says "Jesus is accursed!" and no one can say "Jesus is Lord" except in the Holy Spirit.

 4Now there are varieties of gifts, but the same Spirit;

 5and there are varieties of service, but the same Lord; 

6and there are varieties of activities, but it is the same God who empowers them all in everyone.

Joel 2:28-32

The LORD Will Pour Out His Spirit

 28 "And it shall come to pass afterward,
   that I will pour out my Spirit on all flesh;
 your sons and your daughters shall prophesy,
   your old men shall dream dreams,
   and your young men shall see visions.

29 Even on the male and female servants
   in those days I will pour out my Spirit.

 30"And I will show wonders in the heavens and on the earth, blood and fire and columns of smoke. 

31 The sun shall be turned to darkness, and the moon to blood, before the great and awesome day of the LORD comes.
 32And it shall come to pass that everyone who calls on the name of the LORD shall be saved. For in Mount Zion and in Jerusalem there shall be those who escape, as the LORD has said, and among the survivors shall be those whom the LORD calls.

Galatians 5:16-26

Life by the Spirit

 16 So I say, live by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the sinful nature. 

17 For the sinful nature desires what is contrary to the Spirit, and the Spirit what is contrary to the sinful nature. They are in conflict with each other, so that you do not do what you want. 

18 But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under law. 

 19 The acts of the sinful nature are obvious: sexual immorality, impurity and debauchery; 

20 idolatry and witchcraft; hatred, discord, jealousy, fits of rage, selfish ambition, dissensions, factions 

21 and envy; drunkenness, orgies, and the like. I warn you, as I did before, that those who live like this will not inherit the kingdom of God. 

 22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 

23 gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law. 

24 Those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the sinful nature with its passions and desires. 

25 Since we live by the Spirit, let us keep in step with the Spirit. 

26 Let us not become conceited, provoking and envying each other. 
1 Corinthians 7:12-14

 12 To the rest I say this (I, not the Lord): If any brother has a wife who is not a believer and she is willing to live with him, he must not divorce her. 
13 And if a woman has a husband who is not a believer and he is willing to live with her, she must not divorce him. 
14 For the unbelieving husband has been sanctified through his wife, and the unbelieving wife has been sanctified through her believing husband. Otherwise your children would be unclean, but as it is, they are holy. 

1 Corinthians 7:1-19

Marriage

 1 Now for the matters you wrote about: It is good for a man not to marry.
 2 But since there is so much immorality, each man should have his own wife, and each woman her own husband. 
3 The husband should fulfill his marital duty to his wife, and likewise the wife to her husband. 4 The wife’s body does not belong to her alone but also to her husband. In the same way, the husband’s body does not belong to him alone but also to his wife.
 5 Do not deprive each other except by mutual consent and for a time, so that you may devote yourselves to prayer. Then come together again so that Satan will not tempt you because of your lack of self-control. 
6 I say this as a concession, not as a command. 
7 I wish that all men were as I am. But each man has his own gift from God; one has this gift, another has that. 
 8 Now to the unmarried and the widows I say: It is good for them to stay unmarried, as I am. 

9 But if they cannot control themselves, they should marry, for it is better to marry than to burn with passion. 

 10 To the married I give this command (not I, but the Lord): A wife must not separate from her husband. 
\11 But if she does, she must remain unmarried or else be reconciled to her husband. 
And a husband must not divorce his wife. 

 12 To the rest I say this (I, not the Lord): If any brother has a wife who is not a believer and she is willing to live with him, he must not divorce her.

13 And if a woman has a husband who is not a believer and he is willing to live with her, she must not divorce him. 

14 For the unbelieving husband has been sanctified through his wife, and the unbelieving wife has been sanctified through her believing husband. Otherwise your children would be unclean, but as it is, they are holy. 

 15 But if the unbeliever leaves, let him do so. A believing man or woman is not bound in such circumstances; God has called us to live in peace. 

16 How do you know, wife, whether you will save your husband? Or, how do you know, husband, whether you will save your wife? 

 17 Nevertheless, each one should retain the place in life that the Lord assigned to him and to which God has called him. This is the rule I lay down in all the churches. 

18 Was a man already circumcised when he was called? 
He should not become uncircumcised. 
Was a man uncircumcised when he was called? He should not be circumcised.

 19 Circumcision is nothing and uncircumcision is nothing. Keeping God’s commands is what counts.

God's commands are:

Love your God with all your heart, soul,  and mind.

Be born of water and be born of Spirit. ( Baptism in water, baptism in Holy Spirit. )

And love the one in need as yourself.

So simple, even a child can do it.

Jesus Christ was sharing His teaching with a scholar Nicodemus
Who wanted to learn. His teaching
And Christ said to him in John 3:5

5Jesus answered, "Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God. 

Now people please understand, this was Christ's teaching that He was sharing.

Yes, He made  an exception with the thief on the cross
Since the thief loved Him in his heart and defended him
From the other thief, and since this thief could not come down from the cross
And live accordingly,
Christ made an exception on him.

Yet the thief saw Christ face to face
And with action of words defended Christ
Out of love for Him
So Christ seeing His heart made an exception on him.

Yet, we must live according to Christ's teaching that he shared
With Nicodemus

5Jesus answered, "Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God. 

No exception is to us, 
Since we are not on the cross.
We have a whole life ahead of us.
And if we choose not to honor Christ
And not to follow His teaching
Then we can't be with Him.

5Jesus answered, "Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God. 

Children please remember 

That the teaching of grace in this world of don't do anything, you're saved, 
This teaching is of Men.
Christ's teaching which He shared with biblical scholar Nicodemus
In John3:5 is

5Jesus answered, "Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God. 

And we know that water baptism is not Spirit baptism
Look at Simon the sorcerer who only had water baptism.

Philip baptized him with water
but Peter and John did not baptize him with the Holy Spirit 
because his heart was not right with God.

You must be born of water
And you must be born of Spirit 
These are two baptisms and not one

Simon was baptized in water but was found not worthy of the Holy Spirit 
Since he was jealous that Peter and John were able to baptize people
With Holy Spirit and he wanted to buy that ability.
Perhaps he wanted to sell God's power
But that's impossible to sell, for the baptism of Holy Spirit is given by grace to the right heart.

So if he had a holy spirit 
He would not think that way.
As it seems that he was not baptized with Holy Spirit.
But only was watching and observing
After he was baptized by water in the name of Jesus Christ.

See Acts 8:12-23 below

12 But when they believed Philip as he preached the good news of the kingdom of God and the name of Jesus Christ, they were baptized, both men and women. 

13 Simon himself believed and was baptized. And he followed Philip everywhere, astonished by the great signs and miracles he saw. 
 
14 When the apostles in Jerusalem heard that Samaria had accepted the word of God, they sent Peter and John to them. 

15 When they arrived, they prayed for them that they might receive the Holy Spirit, 

16 because the Holy Spirit had not yet come upon any of them; they had simply been baptized into the name of the Lord Jesus. 

17 Then Peter and John placed their hands on them, and they received the Holy Spirit. 

 18 When Simon saw that the Spirit was given at the laying on of the apostles’ hands, he offered them money 

19 and said, “Give me also this ability so that everyone on whom I lay my hands may receive the Holy Spirit.” 

 20 Peter answered: “May your money perish with you, because you thought you could buy the gift of God with money! 

21 You have no part or share in this ministry, because your heart is not right before God. 

22 Repent of this wickedness and pray to the Lord. Perhaps he will forgive you for having such a thought in your heart. 

23 For I see that you are full of bitterness and captive to sin.” 

So children have a right heart, be like Cornelius was
he gave to those in need.

See Acts 10:1-4
 
1 At Caesarea there was a man named Cornelius, a centurion in what was known as the Italian Regiment. 

2 He and all his family were devout and God-fearing; he gave generously to those in need and prayed to God regularly. 

3 One day at about three in the afternoon he had a vision. He distinctly saw an angel of God, who came to him and said, “Cornelius!” 

 4 Cornelius stared at him in fear. “What is it, Lord?” he asked. 

The angel answered, “Your prayers and gifts to the poor have come up as a memorial offering before God
 
And God noticed that his heart was true
That it had living faith 
Which was supported by his works to others.
Cornelius was the first non Jew to receive the baptism of Holy Spirit.
After the Holy Spirit came down on the day of Pentecost
Recorded in the book of Acts 2:1-11

The Coming of the Holy Spirit

 1When the day of Pentecost arrived, they were all together in one place. 

2And suddenly there came from heaven a sound like a mighty rushing wind, and it filled the entire house where they were sitting. 

3And divided tongues  as of fire appeared to them and rested on each one of them. 

4And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues as the Spirit gave them utterance.

 5Now there were dwelling in Jerusalem Jews, devout men from every nation under heaven. 

6And at this sound the multitude came together, and they were bewildered, because each one was hearing them speak in his own language. 

7And they were amazed and astonished, saying, "Are not all these who are speaking Galileans? 

8And how is it that we hear, each of us in his own native language? 

9Parthians and Medes and
 Elamites and residents of Mesopotamia, Judea and Cappadocia, Pontus and Asia, 

10Phrygia and Pamphylia, Egypt and the parts of Libya belonging to Cyrene, and visitors from Rome, 

11both Jews and proselytes, Cretans and Arabians—we hear them telling in our own tongues the mighty works of God." 

Acts 10:34-48

34So Peter opened his mouth and said: "Truly I understand that  God shows no partiality,

35but in every nation anyone who fears him and does what is right is acceptable to him. 

36As for the word that he sent to Israel, preaching good news of peace through Jesus Christ (he is Lord of all), 

37you yourselves know what happened throughout all Judea, beginning from Galilee after the baptism that John proclaimed: 

38how God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power. He went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with him. 

39And we are witnesses of all that he did both in the country of the Jews and in Jerusalem. They put him to death by hanging him on a tree, 

40but God raised him on the third day and made him to appear, 

41 not to all the people but to us who had been chosen by God as witnesses, who ate and drank with him after he rose from the dead. 

42And he commanded us to preach to the people and to testify that he is the one appointed by God to be judge of the living and the dead. 

43 To him all the prophets bear witness that everyone who believes in him receives forgiveness of sins through his name."

The Holy Spirit Falls on the Gentiles

 44While Peter was still saying these things, the Holy Spirit fell on all who heard the word. 

45And the believers from among the circumcised who had come with Peter were amazed,
 because the gift of the Holy Spirit was poured out even on the Gentiles. 

46For they were hearing them speaking in tongues and extolling God. Then Peter declared, 

47 "Can anyone withhold water for baptizing these people, who have received the Holy Spirit just as we have?" 

48And he commanded them to be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ. Then they asked him to remain for some days.

1 Timothy 6:17-19

 17As for the rich in this present age, 
charge them not to be haughty, 
nor to set their hopes on the uncertainty of riches
, but on God, who richly provides us 
with everything to enjoy. 

18They are to do good, to be rich in good works, 
to be generous and ready to share, 

19thus storing up treasure for themselves 
as a good foundation for the future, 
so that they may take hold of
 that which is truly life.

False Teachers and True Contentment

1 Timothy 6:2-16

2Those who have believing masters
 must not be disrespectful on the ground that they are brothers;
 rather they must serve all the better 
since those who benefit by their good service are believers and beloved.

3If anyone teaches a different doctrine 
and does not agree with the sound
words of our Lord Jesus Christ and the teaching
that accords with godliness, 

4 he is puffed up with conceit 
and understands nothing. 
He has an unhealthy craving for 
controversy and for quarrels about words, 
which produce envy, dissension, slander, evil suspicions, 

5and constant friction among people
who are depraved in mind and deprived of the truth, 
imagining that godliness is a means of gain. 

6Now there is great gain in godliness
with contentment, 

7for we brought nothing into the world, 
and we cannot take anything out of the world. 

8But if we have food and clothing, 
with these we will be content. 

9But those who desire to be rich fall into temptation,
 into a snare, into many senseless 
and harmful desires that plunge people
 into ruin and destruction. 

10For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evils.
 It is through this craving that some have wandered 
away from the faith and pierced themselves 
with many pangs.

11But as for you, O man of God, flee these things.
 Pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, 
steadfastness, gentleness. 

12 Fight the good fight of the faith.
Take hold of the eternal life to which you were called
 and about which you made the good confession 
in the presence of many witnesses. 

13 I charge you in the presence of God, 
who gives life to all things, and of Christ Jesus,
 who in his testimony before Pontius Pilate made 
the good confession, 

14to keep the commandment unstained and free from 
reproach until the appearing of our Lord Jesus Christ, 

15which he will display at the proper time—he who 
is the blessed and only Sovereign, 
the King of kings and Lord of lords, 

16 who alone has immortality, who dwells in
unapproachable light, whom no one has ever seen or 
can see. To him be honor and eternal dominion. Amen.
